Planning applications have been granted for two apartment buildings that will bring to market 89 high quality apartments in Blackpool.

The New South Promenade project will see two residential developments located at each end of a well-known crescent of buildings along Blackpool’s south shore promenade, which dates back to 1926.
At the Northern end of the site, the first apartment development provide 49 apartments will replace the vacant Skye and Colwyn Hotels, and Sandpiper Holiday apartments. At the Southern end of the crescent, the second property development will replace the Headlands hotel to offer 40 apartments.
Development on the crescent has already taken place with a new Hilton by Hampton built in 2016, and in 2020 planning permission was granted for a £7 million extension to the hotel.
