David Cox Architects were commissioned by the client to design a family home in Catforth, Preston. We helped to bring our client’s aspiration of living in a contemporary, energy efficient and high quality home to life. The building is orientated to maximise natural daylighting into the house and it offers plenty of views over the surrounding countryside. This is a unique dwelling with numerous features to provide joy and delight to the home owners and their guests.

We worked with the client to devise a contemporary layout that is suited to modern family life, but with privacy where appropriate. The new home has four generously sized bedrooms for all members of the family; but most of all this is a family home, somewhere to enjoy each day as the family grow and enjoy their lives together.

The property will nestle into the village, different to the surrounding properties but following a very similar visual themes: pitched roofs, facing brickwork and an echo of agricultural vernacular.
