David Cox Architects adopted BIM software in its early form and we work in BIM for all the commercial projects within the practice. BIM improves efficiency and allows for seamless co-operation between us, the architect, and other disciplines. As you can see from the image below one benefit of BIM is a structural integration into our 3D model allowing us to become aware of any design/structure clashes before a problem arises on site.

We are often asked to prepare feasibility studies for potential projects. Following an initial discussion and having established your brief we can assess the site and offer impartial advice as to the viability of your proposals. We can then develop several options for maximising the site’s potential, producing concept sketches, layouts, and CGIs if required to help you visualise the completed project.

Our in house CGI service produces images to a very high standard and they provide a useful tool for presentations to clients, planners and for marketing purposes. This is a skill we are always striving to improve and the quality increases as the technology available improves. Look for our CG images on the project page and the sort of quality we can produce and how it has developed over time.

A 3D fly through presentation can assist clients in visualising a development and provide a better understanding of the way in which the building will work. It is also a useful tool for marketing a scheme.  Our ability to produce these in house enables us to update presentations where necessary as the design progresses.

The video below was produced to showcase a current scheme – for more details please click here.
