We welcomed Aamina Khan and Matthew Mayhew into the office last week. Both are third-year architecture students at UCLan and joined us due to our involvement in the RIBA student mentoring scheme.

Showcasing practice life, detailing our live schemes and critiquing portfolio work via this mentoring process is something we thoroughly enjoy as part of our business activity. We are always keen to give an insight into the industry for the next generation of aspiring architects.

We’ve had some lovely feedback from student Aamina, with particular mention to mentor Helen:

“I wanted to say that I thoroughly enjoyed participating in the mentoring scheme as I was able to meet you and learn more about practice life. You were a very open, pleasant and caring mentor and it was a pleasure to meet you.

I really appreciated that you were able to take time out to give me constructive feedback on my work. I found it very helpful and I enjoyed seeing how well you got along with your colleagues.”

… we’re looking forward to continuing the relationship with Aamina and Matthew – our door is always open!
